Refocus on Recovery 2027 international conference
Refocus on Recovery will be returning to Nottingham on 9th and 10th September 2027, hosted by the Crowne Plaza Hotel in central Nottingham, which has step-free access to the conference hall.
Our 2027 conference will be a partnership between the Recovery Research Team, Imroc, Habitus Collective, and Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (through the Institute of Mental Health).
Our conference themes for 2027 are:
- Theme 1 – Lived experience leadership
- Theme 2 – Recovery and community
- Theme 3 – Recovery and services
- Theme 4 – Recovery beyond mental health
Abstracts can be submitted from 30th November 2026 to 28th February 2027. The conference registration system will open on 30th November 2026 as well.
As for 2023 and 2025, there will be no parallel presentations. Our successful 2025 “lighting talks” innovation will return, to maximise the range of voices that have a conference platform.
Cost to attend in person for both days including a light buffet after the conference on Thursday 9th September:
- Full price in-person ticket: £330.00
- Concessionary in-person ticket: £160.00 (30 available)
(for local, voluntary and community interest groups, small charities, and self-help groups. Service users & carers who do not have access to funding through an institution/project funding can also purchase concessionary ticket)
Online attendance will be available for £70.
