CHIME-A is an unfunded international group of academics, professionals and people with lived experience of mental health issues in childhood (aged 0 to 12) and adolescence (aged 12 to 18), who are interested in mental health recovery. The current membership is drawn from Canada (Ontario and British Colombia), Norway (Drammen), Egypt (Mansoura), Spain (Barcelona) and the UK (Nottingham).
Our objectives are to:
1. Collaborate as an international group in forming a community of interest in developing research and sharing innovations in recovery for children, young people and their families.
2. Working together to develop a theoretical/conceptual framework for understanding recovery in children and adolescents.
3. Using the conceptual framework (2) as the theoretical basis to develop a new recovery measure (PREM – patient related experience measure) called INSPIRE-A.
4. Supporting the implementation and use of INSPIRE-A in practice settings, including translations into a range of international languages and evaluations of its use in practice internationally
5. Using our research and developing evidence base to influence practice and policy recommendations that benefit children, young people and their families.
