Are you a University of Nottingham researcher (staff or doctoral student) in mental health, neurodivergence or substance use? Do you also have lived experience in these areas?

The Institute of Mental Health Peer Research Academy would like to know about your experiences!

The Academy has been commissioned by the Wellcome Trust to support the development of peer research within mental health as an inclusive, influential and health-affirming identity and role. The Academy team are all peer/lived experience researchers ourselves.

We are conducting a case study of what helps researchers with lived experience to flourish at UoN, and what barriers we experience. If you’d like to take part you can choose either to be interviewed or to submit written responses to questions.

  • You don’t need to publicly identify as a peer/lived experience researcher in order to take part. Participation is confidential, and there will also be an option to take part anonymously.
  • For further information you can view the Participant Information Sheet here.
  • If you’d like to be interviewed, contact us at peer@nottingham.ac.uk
  • If you’d like to complete the written response (anonymously if you wish) you can access it here: https://forms.office.com/e/ZedQGN3wDD

We look forward to hearing from you! And do check out the support we are offering to peer/lived experience researchers, whether or not you want to take part in these interviews.
